Nghe An Border Guard offers flowers to report to Uncle Ho at Kim Lien Relic Site
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 10, a delegation of the Nghe An Border Guard Command led by Colonel Tran Hai Binh, Commander, held a ceremony to offer flowers, incense, and report achievements at the memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh - Kim Lien Relic Site.
Also attending were Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, comrades in the Party Committee - Command, leaders of departments, offices, agencies and station chiefs of border stations on the two border lines.

Respectfully offering a bouquet of fresh flowers to Uncle Ho's spirit and lighting incense sticks to commemorate the beloved father of the armed forces and the genius leader of the nation, the delegation reported to Uncle Ho the outstanding achievements that the provincial Border Guard officers and soldiers have strived to achieve in the past year.
Last year, the Provincial Border Guard discovered, arrested and handled 47 cases/64 subjects (of which 9 special cases were successfully fought); 3 cases/4 subjects illegally transporting explosives.
Effectively implement the emulation movement "Nghe An Border Guard joins hands to build new countryside" and the plan to help 3 poor communes as assigned by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of 2.2 billion VND; mobilize donations from officers, soldiers, and employees in the Provincial Border Guard 270 million VND, 1,024 gifts; mobilize units, businesses, and philanthropists 199 million VND to donate to poor households and policy families in border and coastal areas.

In 2017, Nghe An Border Guard had 22 collectives and 105 individuals awarded. Of which, the Provincial Border Guard was awarded the Labor Medal by the Lao Prime Minister; the Ministry of National Defense awarded Certificates of Merit to 01 collective and 03 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee and ministries and branches awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 collectives and 32 individuals, the Provincial Border Guard Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and 70 individuals.
