Nghe An Border Guard inspects combat readiness in border areas
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 7-8, Colonel Tran Hai Binh and the working delegation of the Nghe An Border Guard Command inspected the border security work of the border protection force of the Nghe An Border Guard, the Border Guard Company 217 of the Military Command of Hua Phan province, Lao PDR and people in Nhon Mai and My Ly communes.

The delegation inspected the Nhot Lot inter-sectoral checkpoint, located more than a day's walk uphill from the center of My Ly commune, Ky Son district. The checkpoint is responsible for ensuring security and order and protecting forest products in the protective forest section of the border from marker 389 to marker 392, under the management of My Ly Border Guard Station, Ky Son district.
Here, the Commander of the Nghe An Border Guard visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the border protection forces of the Nghe An Border Guard, the militia of My Ly commune and the border guards of Company 217, the Military Command of Hua Phan province, Lao PDR.

I hope that officers and soldiers will overcome difficulties and complete their tasks of ensuring security, order and protecting forest products in the area. Strengthen solidarity with the border protection forces on both sides of the Vietnam - Laos border, propagate and mobilize people on both sides of the border to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws of each side, ensuring a peaceful, friendly and cooperative border for mutual development.

Sharing the difficulties of the forces on duty at the outpost, the Nghe An Border Guard Command presented gifts (including essentials such as fish sauce and dried squid worth 2 million VND) and 5 million VND in cash to the Nhot Lot inter-sectoral post; presented gifts and 6 million VND in cash to the border protection force of Company 217 - Military Command of Hua Phan province, Lao PDR and the people of Bum Bai village and presented 7 million VND to Pha Chieng and Nhot Lot villages in My Ly commune, Ky Son district and Pha Khao village in Mai Son commune, Tuong Duong district. At the same time, 40 warm coats were presented to the people in Nhot Lot village.
