Closing ceremony of the 22nd Congress of Que Phong District Party Committee, term 2020-2025

The Congress discussed and unanimously passed a Resolution on political tasks that the Party Committee and people of the district must carry out in the 2020 - 2025 period.

General objectives for the 2020-2025 term: Building a strong political system, promoting the strength of great solidarity among ethnic groups; focusing on exploiting potentials, strengths, sustainable development; ensuring national defense - security, foreign affairs; determined to make Que Phong a well-off district in the Northwest region of Nghe An province.

The Congress also discussed and approved a report summarizing comments on draft documents submitted to the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress, demonstrating the wisdom, spirit and responsibility of the Party Committee and ethnic people in the district for the revolutionary cause of the Party, the homeland and the country.

To successfully achieve the above goal, the Resolution sets out 27 specific targets in the fields of economy, culture - society, environment, national defense - security, Party building and political system.

Along with 5 key tasks, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Que Phong district are determined to unite, join forces and focus on implementing 4 strategic breakthroughs in the new term.

The district will focus on directing and promoting a reasonable internal economic restructuring, on the basis of taking science and technology as a driving force to promote the potential and advantages of the locality, develop industries and products with high competitiveness and value associated with building the district's product brands; effectively participate in the production network and value chain, and form typical product brands of Que Phong district.

At the same time, mobilize all resources to invest in building economic and social infrastructure, improve the efficiency of public investment; prioritize investment in key projects and works with regional connectivity; develop trade, service, tourism activities, etc.

The Congress selected and elected 36 comrades to the District Party Executive Committee for the 22nd term, demonstrating the inheritance, continuity and determination to innovate cadres to lead and successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress.

The congress also elected 11 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates representing 5,300 party members in the district to attend the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the District Party Committee Truong Minh Cuong emphasized: The 22nd Que Phong District Party Congress was a great success. The important thing for the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in the district is to thoroughly grasp, organize and implement the Congress Resolution and quickly bring it into life.

To successfully implement the Congress Resolution, the Congress calls on compatriots, soldiers, and youth in the entire district to strive to compete in labor and production, promote the movement to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, exploit all potentials and advantages to develop the economy - society to successfully implement the Congress Resolution.

Main targets set out in the Resolution of the Que Phong District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term:

Strive for an average growth rate of 9-10% for the entire period, of which the district-managed rate is 7-7.50%.

Continue to restructure the economy towards increasing product value: Agriculture, forestry and fishery decreased from 39.4% in 2020 to 36.83% in 2025; Industry - construction increased from 29.14% to 30.97%; service sectors increased from 31.46% to 32.20%.

Average income per capita (current price): 42-45 million VND/year.

Budget revenue in the area increases annually by 15% or more, reaching 50 - 55 billion VND by 2025.

Total social investment capital in the 2021-2025 period will reach about 5,500 billion VND.

Multidimensional poverty rate decreased from 3.0-4.0%/year.

Strive to annually rank the District Party Committee as a good Party organization by the province, of which 1-2 years are ranked as excellent in completing tasks.
