Belarus shows how to get nuclear weapons
(Baonghean.vn) - In the Russian TV program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on May 28, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that countries concerned about nuclear weapons could join the Russia-Belarus Union State.
President Lukashenko stressed that after joining the Russia-Belarus Union State, “there will be nuclear weapons for everyone.” Earlier this week, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the “phenomenon” of the Union State within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) structure, arguing that Russia and Belarus “even now have nuclear weapons for both.”

Meanwhile, the Kremlin, commenting on President Tokayev's statement, said that this was true and that cooperation between Moscow and Minsk within the Union State is "a more developed level of integration than the EAEU." Mr. Lukashenko said: "If anyone is worried, I don't think Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is worried about this, but if suddenly worried, then no one will object to Kazakhstan and other countries that have such close relations with Russia as we do. And it's very simple: You need to join the Belarus-Russia union, and there will be nuclear weapons for everyone." The Belarusian president said that this was only his opinion, but admitted that the expansion of the Union State was possible.
In another development, the Belarusian Defense Ministry press agency announced that another S-400 air defense missile system has been deployed to the country.
The press release confirmed: "The next set of S-400 air defense missile systems has arrived in the Republic of Belarus. In the near future, this set will take up combat duty. Belarusian air defense gunners have completed all training courses on using the system in combat at Russian training facilities."
The Ministry added that the Belarusian military is ready to apply their knowledge and skills in practice to ensure the military security of the Union State. The supply of air defense systems is carried out within the framework of military and military-technical cooperation between Belarus and the Russian Federation. Currently, the republic continues to take measures to build the combat potential of the regional army group, including equipping the formations and military units of the Belarusian armed forces with new modern weapons. "The S-400 air defense missile system is an important factor in ensuring the security of our country and the peaceful labor of our people," Andrei Lukyanovich, Commander of the Belarusian Air Defense Forces, stressed.
On May 28, in an interview with ONT TV channel, Belarus Security Council Secretary Alexander Volfovich said that the West had left Minsk no choice but to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory. He said that in the 1990s, "the West, first of all the United States, guaranteed Belarus security and no sanctions, but now they have broken their promise. By pursuing a policy of ignoring the interests of other countries, the United States is trying to provoke hotspots of tension around Russia"./.
