The Spanish defender donated money based on the number of minutes he played at the recent European U21 tournament.

Hector Bellerin played 381 minutes at the European Under-21 Championship, where Spain reached the final and lost 1-0 to Germany. The Arsenal star donated £50 for every minute he played.

Bellerin's total donation was £19,050, or $24,785.

On July 2, Bellerin posted a collage of the event on Twitter. The photo included an announcement of the donation amount and called on other individuals and organizations to support the British Red Cross in its campaign to help the victims.

Bellerin announced his charity donation via a collage on Twitter.

The Grenfell Tower fire in North Kensington, London, in mid-June left at least 80 people dead and more than 70 injured. Many others suffered extensive property damage and lost their homes.

Bellerin is just one of a number of Premier League players to show their support for the victims of the fire. Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand and Man City midfielder Raheem Sterling have both donated financially and in other practical ways.

Bellerin has been playing for Arsenal, a London team, since 2013. The Spanish defender came from Barca's La Masia academy and is playing successfully in the Premier League.
