Faced with the complicated developments of the epidemic, Cua Dong General Hospital has strengthened screening and disease control measures; to ensure a safe examination and treatment environment for staff and patients.

Every day, Cua Dong General Hospital receives hundreds of patients for examination and treatment. In order to create a working and medical environment for staff to feel secure in their work and for people to feel secure when visiting, the hospital has implemented many positive measures.
The hospital organized training and established a Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control, proactively responding to possible epidemic situations. Set up an isolation area, ready to be used when patients show signs of suspected virus infection.

100% of employees are fully equipped with masks, hats, glasses and other protective equipment during work, contact with patients or internal departments...
100% of people (patients, relatives of patients, visitors...) are screened for epidemiological factors when coming to the hospital. Patients with epidemiological factors will be screened in the second step (going into detail for each epidemiological area). In any suspected cases, the patient will be guided by medical staff to the isolation clinic for a thorough re-examination. If they are among the suspected cases, they will be advised on solutions appropriate to the patient's condition.

The hospital also enhances hygiene and disinfection to ensure the safety of patients coming for examination and treatment, and provides hand hygiene equipment and hand sanitizer in all inpatient rooms, clinics and public areas. Patients and their families are instructed on hand hygiene, proper use of masks, temperature measurement, and medical history taking before entering the hospital.
Information about the epidemic situation and prevention instructions are continuously broadcast by the hospital through the TV screen placed in front of the hospital examination room. The hospital prints documents and distributes leaflets on measures to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection to patients. Inpatients are also fully informed about the epidemic situation as well as how to prevent and avoid infection. It is recommended to limit family members and visitors to the patient at this time.

Patient Nguyen Thi Ha (55 years old, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh) has had diabetes and high blood pressure for nearly 6 years now, and regularly goes to the hospital for check-ups.
