The new hospital facility was built within the framework of the phase 2 project, with a scale of over 1,000 inpatient beds and a total investment of over VND 1,259 billion.

After more than 2 years of urgent construction, the project has been completed and is ready to welcome patients from the beginning of next week.

The examination and treatment space here is designed to be more modern and convenient, bringing comfort to patients and their families. In particular, moving to a new facility also helps the hospital complete a closed cancer treatment process, including: early diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. This helps shorten treatment time, reduce costs and travel effort for people.

Since its establishment in 2010 with only 50 beds, Nghe An Oncology Hospital has made great strides, currently having more than 1,100 staff and more than 1,000 actual beds. Many advanced and specialized techniques that were once only available at the central level have now been successfully deployed at the hospital, such as: endoscopic surgery, NGS gene testing, modern radiotherapy, Maxio robot, 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT scan, SPECT/CT, endoscopic ultrasound, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry... In addition, administrative reform and digital transformation have been promoted. The hospital is the first oncology unit in the country to successfully deploy electronic medical records since July 2024, combined with online appointment scheduling, helping people save time and reduce waiting.
