Drowned on the way to buy fighting bulls

(Baonghean.vn) – Unable to buy a fighting bull in Laos, Mr. Gia Chong Po was swept away by the water while crossing the Nam Mo River.

At around 10am on August 14, many people in Ta Ca commune (Ky Son) were shocked to discover a body floating on the Nam Mo river flowing through the Nam Can 2 hydroelectric plant. The victim's identity was later determined to be Mr. Gia Chong Po, residing in Ca Duoi village (Na Ngoi commune - Ky Son).

According to Va Y Sua, the victim’s wife, on the morning of August 12, Mr. Po went through the Muong Tip border gate to Laos to buy fighting bulls. However, in the evening of the same day, he called to inform that he could not buy the bulls and had to return. However, from that time on, his family could not contact him. It was not until the people informed him that they had found his body that the family knew.

The cause of Mr. Po's death was determined to be drowning.

The victim's body has been brought home by his family for burial according to local customs.
