School Youth Union Secretary writes program to digitize union member data

(Baonghean.vn) – Based on the reality of being in charge of the Youth Union, an IT teacher and Secretary of the Youth Union of a school in Nghe An wrote a program to manage the Youth Union member database. The practical application of the program shows that the digitization of Youth Union member data brings many benefits in the management and activities of the Youth Union.

The Secretary of the Youth Union of Thai Hoa High School is the author of the software for managing union members.

That is teacher Le Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Youth Union of Thai Hoa High School, Thai Hoa town. In charge of the Youth Union for many years, he realized that managing union member data in the traditional way with notebooks and records revealed many limitations in both procedures and time. From that reality, the Secretary of the Youth Union of this school, born in 1984, came up with the idea and started building the Youth Union Management Program since October 2015.

When starting to implement the idea, Mr. Tuan encountered many difficulties. That was the limited time because he had to perform professional duties and work for the Youth Union. Not to mention, he did not have much experience in programming, could not fully model the idea, did not have anyone to support him in writing the software...

However, with his passion, knowledge and self-study and learning more on the Internet, the union member management program was formed and quickly applied to the practice of union member data management at Thai Hoa High School.

This program meets the requirements of the process of managing union members in high schools such as: updating union member information, searching, statistics, reporting, managing incoming and outgoing documents and many other tasks quickly, conveniently, accurately, and saving time.

In addition, the program has pre-designed necessary records for high school union, the implementation is very quick, saving time in union member management.

With many useful features, the program has been transferred and applied at Tay Hieu High School, Dong Hieu High School, Western Vocational College and Continuing Education Center of Thai Hoa town.

Mr. Nguyen Thu Trung - Secretary of Thai Hoa Town Youth Union assessed: "The Youth Union member management program is a useful tool for all school union officials, helping to effectively manage union members, store information for a long time, and contribute to promoting the application of information technology in management work".

Digitizing union member data helps the process of retrieving and editing information faster and easier than the traditional way before.

Thai Hoa Town Youth Union awarded a certificate of merit to teacher Le Anh Tuan and this is also one of the products selected by Nghe An Provincial Youth Union to participate in the 9th National "Youth Creativity" Festival in 2016 organized by the Central Youth Union.

Besides that joy, teacher Le Anh Tuan also cherishes many plans for his "brainchild": "In the coming time, I will continue to develop the software to be able to expand the scope and functions of use for ward and commune units. Currently, the software runs on personal computers in Offline form, in the future, the application will be developed in the direction of Online use on the Web platform and have hierarchical and decentralized management", teacher Tuan shared his plan.
