Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan and the delegation visited and presented 10 sets of computers to Lang Sen Primary School, Kim Lien Commune. In the 2019-2020 school year, the school has 21 classes with 693 students.

The total number of staff, teachers and employees is 31 people. This is a key district school of Nam Dan, with comprehensive education quality leading in the whole district.

Speaking to teachers and students of the school, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee informed about activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020) in the city named after him.

Congratulating the results in teaching and learning of the school, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan hopes that the teachers and students of the school will maintain and promote the tradition, honor and pride of being a school in Uncle Ho's homeland, following his example to continue to teach well and study well.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Phan Van Chat (born in 1949), currently living in Mau 2 hamlet, Kim Lien commune. Mr. Chat served in the army from 1967 to 1976, was wounded on the battlefield in Southern Laos in 1972, and is a 3/4 class disabled veteran.

The delegation from Ho Chi Minh City also visited the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Dan in Mau 1 hamlet, Kim Lien commune. He served in the army from 1977 to 1990, was wounded in the Cambodian battlefield in 1982 and was a 1/4-class disabled veteran. Despite his injuries, he still enthusiastically participated in village and hamlet work upon his return from the battlefield.

Next, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan and the delegation visited Mr. Duong Tu's family in Thuong Nam hamlet, Hong Long commune. Mr. Tu is a party member of religious origin, a 2/3 class disabled soldier. He joined the army in 1958 until 1975 when he was demobilized and returned to his hometown.

From 1975 to 2012, Mr. Duong Tu participated in many local activities such as: Party Committee member, Party cell secretary, head of the Front's working committee. He was also a member of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nam Dan district from 2007 to 2012.

At the three families he visited, Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan kindly asked about the health and circumstances of each family; expressed his gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and sick soldiers; and gave gifts to encourage the families.
