Provincial Party Secretary: Vinh City General Hospital needs to continue improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of February 2 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year 2017), comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and wished a Happy New Year to the medical staff, doctors, workers and patients being treated at Vinh City General Hospital.

Also attending were comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Xuan Dai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Viet Thanh - Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; representatives of the Department of Health.

Vinh City General Hospital is a district-level, grade 2 hospital with 280 beds. The hospital has 315 staff, including 65 doctors, providing medical examination and treatment for people in the province and neighboring districts of Ha Tinh province.

In recent times, the hospital has been at the forefront of innovating the application of high technology to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. In addition to implementing conventional techniques according to the technical classification list, Vinh General Hospital has implemented many new specialized techniques in departments and rooms, such as various types of endoscopic surgery.

Vinh City General Hospital has promoted administrative procedure reform, shortening waiting time for patients to come for examination and treatment. The team of doctors and nurses are trained in-depth at major hospitals across the country and attract high-quality human resources to work at the hospital. In particular, this medical facility is one of the units of the provincial health sector that has taken the lead in implementing the autonomous mechanism since 2016.

In particular, focusing on reviewing difficulties to find solutions; implementing policies to attract talents; creating conditions for the team of doctors and nurses to stay with the hospital for a long time; gradually increase the number of hospital beds and complete the roadmap for financial autonomy...

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary and his delegation also directly visited and asked about the health status and presented gifts to a number of patients being treated at the hospital./.
