Provincial Party Secretary: Don't let the idea of ​​Tet and Spring travel affect work efficiency

On the morning of February 21 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a working session with departments, branches and sectors to listen to the reflection of the situation of the past week and the working program of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; summarize the situation of the press and public opinion of the past week; listen to the report on the situation before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2018.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh highly appreciated the efforts of all levels and sectors in taking care of people to have a peaceful Tet holiday.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that after the Lunar New Year of Mau Tuat, all levels, sectors and units urgently focus on work, implementing the 2018 plan in all fields, not letting the idea of ​​Tet joy and Spring travel last long, affecting work efficiency.

The Provincial Party Secretary directed to continue planting the 2018 Spring crop as planned, ensuring the crop schedule; monitor the development of livestock and poultry diseases to have timely and effective prevention measures; and promote industrial and service production.

Emphasizing that January is the time when many festivals take place, therefore, all levels and sectors need to strengthen strict management to ensure that festivals take place in a civilized and economical manner.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh requested all levels and sectors to do a good job of propaganda so that all people limit the use of alcohol, especially not driving after drinking alcohol. At the same time, strengthen the management of firecrackers among the people.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee noted that in the coming time, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee needs to develop a unified regulation so that businesses and units can implement it after registering to support the program "Tet for the poor" to ensure publicity and transparency; strictly control the support and gift giving to the poor to avoid duplication and not miss any beneficiaries.

Besides, it is necessary to pay attention and research to have reasonable help for poor households due to old age, illness, loneliness and poor households in mountainous districts.

At the same time, research on the assignment of assistance to poor communes by agencies and units, with priority given to mountainous districts.

The report at the meeting said that before the Lunar New Year 2018, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments, branches, unions and a number of enterprises organized delegations to visit, wish a happy new year and give gifts to revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiaries, poor families, children in difficult circumstances, and armed forces units stationed in the area, which were carefully prepared and organized.

The total budget for implementing regular subsidies and Tet gifts for meritorious people and social protection beneficiaries from the state budget; gifts from businesses and individuals to meritorious people, the poor, the elderly, social protection beneficiaries, and children in especially difficult circumstances during the 2018 Lunar New Year is 292,901,249,000 VND.

Districts, cities and towns set up propaganda clusters with content celebrating the Party and Spring; organize many cultural and artistic activities... to serve the people during the Lunar New Year.

Goods preparation for Tet are thoughtful, abundant, and of good quality. Prices of goods generally do not fluctuate much, with many items having normal prices.

To ensure the travel needs of the people, the transport sector has directed the implementation of solutions to ensure traffic on the roads; measures to ensure safety for people traveling during the Mau Tuat New Year and the 2018 Spring Festival. Traffic accidents have decreased compared to last year.

In general, before, during and after Tet, the political security situation and social order and safety in the area were basically stable. Food hygiene and safety were good, with no epidemics or poisoning occurring in the province.

According to the general assessment at the conference, the activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring, celebrate the country, celebrate the innovation and development of Nghe An homeland, and welcome the Lunar New Year 2018 were joyful, healthy, safe, and economical.

Besides, although the situation of setting off firecrackers has decreased, it still occurs in some localities such as Vinh City, Quynh Luu, Thai Hoa town, Nam Dan, Nghia Dan, Tan Ky, Quy Hop, etc. There were 16 accidents caused by firecrackers, an increase of 3 people compared to Tet 2017.
