Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh directs handling of rampant brokers in land auctions

(Baonghean.vn) - In response to information from voters reflecting on the rampant "brokers" in land auctions, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed Quynh Luu district to clarify and handle the situation, not allowing people to buy land and have to pay brokers.

On the afternoon of August 8, the 14th National Assembly delegates including Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 and Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Deputy Director of the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department met with voters of Quynh Luu district.

On the side of Quynh Luu district, there were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, departments, branches and unions at the district level; representatives of all communes and towns in the district.

At the conference, voters of Tan Son commune, Quynh Luu district reported that brokers were rampant in land auctions. Voter Dinh Trong Thuy - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Son commune said: Recently, a business in Vinh city organized a land auction according to a contract. The organization was carried out in accordance with the law, but there were large loopholes leading to the situation of land brokers.

According to this voter, the recent auction of 59 land lots in the commune had 300 land brokers from many places participating, causing resentment among the people. The commune's Fatherland Front Committee was also prevented from participating in supervision.

“I recommend that National Assembly deputies recommend that the authorities amend the legal regulations or, if they cannot be amended, strengthen State measures to limit the situation of brokers in land auctions. On the auction day, they took 2 billion VND from Tan Son residents,” Mr. Thuy was indignant.

Responding to voters on this issue, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh assessed that, according to the information provided by the commune, land auctions are rampant with land brokers. This is linked to the responsibility of the auction organizer.

Accordingly, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that the locality must re-examine, if such phenomenon exists, the next auctions must definitely be corrected, even if there is sufficient evidence, the auction company must be strictly handled. Do not let the local people have to lose broker fees when auctioning land.

At the conference, voters of Quynh Luu district proposed many issues related to people's lives. Voters of Quynh Luu district focused on proposing issues to promote the development of fisheries and fisheries logistics services.

“This is a correct policy, in line with the wishes of fishermen. Therefore, we propose that the Government continue to extend the implementation period as well as pay attention to removing difficulties and speeding up the progress of lending to fishermen,” said voter Dinh.

This is also the issue that voter Vu Thi Luan - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Long commune, representing voters of the commune, reflected; at the same time, she proposed to soon expand and renovate Lach Quen fishing port. "Currently, there are many fishing boats with large capacity. However, the port infrastructure does not ensure safe berthing, especially during the rainy and stormy season", voter Luan said.

Regarding the issue of new rural construction, voters recommended that the electricity sector relocate electric poles after expanding roads in new rural construction; increase the percentage left after land auction for communes, and support localities to pay off debts for new rural construction.

In particular, regarding the problem of outstanding debts in new rural construction, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the current situation of outstanding debts and said that he had assigned the Provincial People's Committee to find a solution to gradually pay off the debts.
