Provincial Party Secretary visits Asia's largest passion fruit seed production facility
(Baonghean.vn) - Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh visited the passion fruit breeding center and economic model in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district.

Upon arriving in Kim Son town, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh visited the booth displaying and introducing typical products of Que Phong district. The booth gathered products with unique local colors such as Japonica rice, brocade, honey, wickerwork... The booth is a bridge for local products to reach consumers inside and outside the district.

The Provincial Party Secretary visited and listened to an introduction to the passion fruit breeding center of Nafoods Passion Fruit Joint Stock Company in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district.
This is currently the largest passion fruit seed production center in Asia with a capacity of 4 million seedlings/year with the product being passion fruit seeds, which can meet the demand for this plant variety for the whole country. On an area of 6 hectares, the company has invested in a high-tech seed production system in two areas of 1 hectare and 5 hectares respectively.

In 2016, this center provided the market with 2 million passion fruit varieties. Currently, this center is providing regular jobs for 300 workers, of which 90% are local workers.
On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vietnam Passion Fruit Research and Development Center, also invested by Nafoods Passion Fruit Joint Stock Company. When put into operation, this center will have a full range of research labs to breed new varieties of passion fruit.

Next, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh visited the livestock model of Mr. Ly No Po, a Mong ethnic group in Pa Khom village, Tri Le commune. On a 20-hectare farm, Mr. Po has organized a comprehensive livestock model with a total of nearly 70 buffaloes and cows, bringing high economic efficiency, helping his family to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
Directly visiting Mr. Ly No Po's livestock farm, the Provincial Party Secretary kindly asked and discussed more about livestock farming and production methods and listened to Mr. Ly No Po's opinions and suggestions.
