Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary attends the 1st Congress of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030

Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, on behalf of the Politburo, attended and directed the congress.

Attending the congress were leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, leaders of provinces and cities; leaders and former leaders of provinces through the periods; veteran revolutionary cadres, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and heroes of labor.

Striving to make Quang Tri a new growth pole of the Central region

Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang delivered the opening speech of the congress and affirmed: The 1st Congress of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee is an event of special historical significance, the first congress of the newly merged province, opening a period of strong development and change, marking a turning point in the revolutionary journey of the Party Committee.

The Congress identified the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity and development aspirations; mobilizing and effectively using all resources; promoting innovation and digital transformation; striving to make Quang Tri a new growth pole of the Central region".

That theme demonstrates the high political determination and strong aspiration to rise of the entire Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of the province, and at the same time, the expectations and hopes of the Central Government and people of the whole country for Quang Tri.

Building Quang Tri province into a clean energy center of the Central region, aiming for national stature

Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee acknowledged, congratulated and commended the valuable and proud achievements that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Tri province have achieved in the past term.

In the coming term, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien suggested that the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee needs to objectively and fully identify that when merging the province, it will expand development space with larger scale and potential advantages.

The province needs to exploit its potential and strengths; mobilize all resources of economic sectors; take science and technology, innovation as driving forces; take solidarity and unity as strength; take resources within the province as the main source, resources outside the province as important to invest in rapid and sustainable economic development.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien also requested the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee in the next term to strive to achieve the double-digit growth target, contributing to the goal of breaking through and developing the country in the new era. Building Quang Tri Province into a clean energy center of the Central region, aiming for national stature.

Promote the development of tourism economy, making it a spearhead economic sector, creating unique and distinctive tourism products, the "Kingdom of Caves" with "memories of war, aspirations for peace"; combined with eco-tourism, sea and island tourism, spiritual and nostalgic tourism.

The Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee needs to study, update, and correctly identify the major policies and decisions of the Central Committee, especially the Resolutions of the Politburo that have just been issued, concretize them into goals, tasks and feasible solutions, and strive to achieve practical and measurable results.

Focus on mobilizing all resources; make focused and key investments, develop synchronous, modern and suitable transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure, energy infrastructure, irrigation infrastructure, education and health infrastructure, etc. to create new development momentum for the province.

At the same time, focus on implementing solutions to reduce poverty and provide livelihoods for people, especially in border areas and ethnic minority areas; exploit potentials and strengths to develop production and business, create branded products. Focus on developing high-tech agriculture and specialty products of Quang Tri.

Further strengthen the work of Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects of politics, ideology, cadre organization, and inspection and supervision work.

Immediately after the Congress, the Provincial Party Executive Committee must urgently review closely, calculate carefully, and immediately issue an Action Program with the spirit of 6 clear points: clear work, clear authority, clear responsibility, clear time, clear resources, and clear results. Resolutely implement with the highest political determination, practically bring the Resolution into life, meet the expectations of cadres, party members, and the people.

The Congress announced the Politburo's decision to appoint 62 comrades to the Provincial Party Executive Committee, 17 comrades to the Provincial Party Standing Committee, 14 comrades to the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; appointed comrade Le Ngoc Quang - member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and 4 comrades to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee.
