Provincial Party Secretary visits and presents gifts to policy families on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 24, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to policy families in Vinh City and Hung Nguyen District.

Accompanying the delegation were Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Pham Trong Hoang - Chief of the Provincial Party Office; Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Vinh City, Hung Nguyen District.

In Vinh City, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy visited and presented gifts to war invalid Pham Van Man at Tan Thanh 1 block, Le Mao ward. Mr. Man joined the army in 1973, was wounded in 1985 on the Cambodian battlefield and is a 1/4 war invalid.

Disabled soldier Pham Van Man has 3 children, one of whom was infected with toxic chemicals. He currently lives with his wife and 2 children. The couple sells sugarcane juice and are in difficult circumstances.

The Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh in Block 1, Hong Son Ward, who is 87 years old this year. She has 9 children, of which 2 sons died on the Cambodian battlefield in 1979 and 1981. She is currently living with her daughter's family, a retired teacher.

In Hung Nguyen district, the Provincial Party Secretary visited and presented gifts to war invalid Vo Ngoc Thin in Trung Thuong hamlet, Hung Tan commune. Mr. Thin is 81 years old this year, enlisted in 1959 and was wounded in August 1971 in Thua Thien - Hue province and is a 1/4 war invalid. His wife has passed away, and war invalid Vo Ngoc Thin is currently living with his son and his wife.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy visited and presented gifts to war invalid Luong The Hoa, at block 1, Hung Nguyen town.

This year, 81 years old, Mr. Luong The Hoa used to join the youth volunteer force, in 1965 he joined the army and fought in the Quang Tri battlefield, was wounded in 1968 and is a 4/4 disabled veteran. He is currently worshiping martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

At the families he visited, the Provincial Party Secretary kindly asked about their health, listened to their circumstances, and expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and their families for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy hopes that the wounded soldiers and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers will take care of their health and always be a shining example for their children and the community to follow.
