Tran Xuan Hiep missed the chance to compete for a medal when he had an accident while warming up for the final round of the men's scholastic boxing event.
On the morning of August 19, Tran Xuan Hiep opened the wushu competition for Vietnam at the 2018 Asian Games in the men's scholastic final. However, during the warm-up, he suffered an ankle injury while performing a difficult move. After examination, the doctor assessed that Xuan Hiep's injury was quite serious and he could not participate in the competition.
