Provincial Military Command presents national flags and life jackets to Nghi Loc fishermen

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 11, the Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command coordinated with sister units and agencies, units and schools in the area to organize the program "I love my Fatherland" - Giving national flags to fishermen in Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district.

This is one of the activities to welcome the 13th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command (term 2022 - 2027) towards the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress, the 10th Military Region Youth Union Congress and the 12th National Youth Union Congress (term 2022 - 2027).

Attending the event were: Lieutenant Colonel Bui The Ky - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union - Head of the Mass Affairs Department of Military Region 4; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khan Toan - Deputy Chief of Politics of the Provincial Military Command; Tran Thi Anh Tuyet - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee, along with the Party Committee, authorities and fishermen of Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district.

Program "I love my Fatherland" -give national flagfor fishermen at sea by the Nghe An Provincial Military Command is a typical model in implementing Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on "Studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh". The program has been implemented by the Nghe An Provincial Military Command since 2016 through practical activities towards the homeland's sea and islands.

After more than 6 years of operation, the Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command has mobilized state agencies, businesses and individuals to donate 35,000 national flags and more than 500 gifts, worth nearly 1 billion VND in total to fishermen in difficult circumstances and children of fishermen who have overcome difficulties and studied well in coastal districts and towns such as Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hoang Mai town, Cua Lo town...

The program has contributed to educating the love of the homeland's sea and islands for cadres, youth union members and people in the province, and at the same time encouraged fishermen to confidently go offshore, both working in seafood production and contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command, Nghi Loc District Military Command and agencies and units coordinated with Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital, Nghe An Provincial Student Association, Drug Crime Prevention Task Force No. 2 - Vietnam Coast Guard, Nghe An Provincial Business Bloc, Vinh Airport Air Traffic Control Branch, Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, Nghi Loc District Youth Union, Hung Binh Ward Youth Union to present 1,500 national flags, 100 life jackets to fishermen at sea in Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district; 20 gifts to households in especially difficult circumstances and 10 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well in the area.

This is the 19th time the program "I love my Fatherland" - Giving national flags to fishermen at sea has been organized by the Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command in coastal districts and the 3rd time it has been organized in Nghi Loc district.

The program “I love my Fatherland” - Giving national flags to fishermen at sea has great spiritual significance, strengthening solidarity and attachment between union members, youth of the provincial armed forces, socio-political organizations and fishermen, thereby encouraging fishermen to actively go offshore, increase seafood exploitation, and at the same time contribute to maintaining the sovereignty of the homeland's sea and islands./.
