Ministry of Public Security appoints new Director of Anti-Corruption Department
Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police Nguyen Van Long was transferred to be Director of the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling.
From September 10, Colonel Long replaced Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, who was recently appointed Deputy Minister of Public Security. Colonel Long's work at Bac Ninh Police will be handled by Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung (Deputy Director) until a new director is appointed.
More than a year ago, Mr. Long was appointed as Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police after many years as Deputy Director. He used to be Chief of Staff of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security).
At the ceremony to receive the decision for the new position, Colonel Long received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievements in combat, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, the Director of the Police Department for Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes and Smuggling is responsible for advising the Head of the Police Department for Investigation of the Ministry of Public Security to direct and guide the Police force for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption nationwide to use measures to prevent, detect, investigate and handle cases related to economic crimes, corruption and smuggling; directly investigate large-scale economic, corruption and smuggling cases.
In early September, the Ministry of Public Security had many personnel taking on new jobs. Major General Nguyen Khac Thuy (Deputy Director of the Health Department) was promoted to Director. Major General Nguyen Dinh Thuan (Deputy Director of the Economic Security Department) was appointed to the position of Director. Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh (Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Police) was appointed Director of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department.
