Ministry of Public Security officially speaks out about streamlining the apparatus

The Ministry of Public Security said that recently, some newspapers have reported inaccurately about the innovation and reorganization of the People's Public Security force.

Thoroughly implementing Resolution No. 18 of the 6th Central Conference (12th tenure) on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently"; Resolution No. 19 on "Some issues on continuing to innovate the organizational and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of operations of public service units", the Ministry of Public Security has proactively developed the Project "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the Ministry of Public Security to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".

The Central Public Security Party Committee reported and the Politburo approved the Project and issued a Resolution on continuing to innovate and streamline the Ministry of Public Security's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. The highlight of the Resolution's content is: The functions and tasks remain unchanged. Building a centralized, unified, specialized, streamlined, effective and efficient organization of the Ministry of Public Security to strengthen the grassroots in the direction of "a refined Ministry, a strong province, a comprehensive district, and a grassroots commune".

Do not organize intermediate levels; rearrange and reduce public service units, education, press, and health in the People's Public Security. Reorganize the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of provinces and centrally-run cities in conjunction with the Provincial and Municipal Public Security to ensure cohesion and maximize resources in performing tasks. Build a regular Commune and Town Public Security.

In the immediate future, arrange regular communal police in key areas with complicated security and order issues, and move towards unified implementation nationwide when completing relevant legal documents.

Currently, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security are urgently and on schedule completing the assigned tasks; completing and implementing the above Project, performing well the functions entrusted to them by the Party, State and people, which are to protect national security, ensure the maintenance of social order and safety, build an orderly, disciplined and safe society, for the peaceful life of the people.

Responding to the Government press conference yesterday evening, Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung said that the Government has given opinions on amending the Law on People's Public Security to supplement the law-making program to be submitted to the National Assembly at the next session.

However, according to current regulations, issues related to organizational structure cannot be raised in specialized laws, so this bill does not mention the organizational structure of the police force.
