Na Loi Border Guard Station mobilized forces and coordinated with local authorities to overcome the consequences of heavy rain in Na Loi commune (Nghe An).

Major Nguyen Van Doan - Deputy Political Commissar of Na Loi Border Guard Station said: "Currently, the unit is mobilizing forces to coordinate with local authorities and people to overcome the consequences caused by floods. First of all, we are helping the family of Mr. Cut Van Dinh, Don Boong village, Na Loi commune to evacuate urgently due to the threat of landslides."

Previously, from the night of July 5 to the morning of July 6, prolonged heavy rain caused significant damage in Na Loi commune, Nghe An province. Water levels in streams and creeks rose, flooding the spillway in Na Khuong and Pieng Lau villages, causing local traffic jams for many hours.

Notably, the Huoi Tu – Na Loi – Keng Du route suffered landslides at 3 points, with an estimated volume of rock and soil of about 1,200m³. The Noong Han – Huoi Kho inter-village route also suffered landslides at 2 points with about 1,500m³ of rock and soil, temporarily isolating Huoi Kho village.

Regarding housing, landslides caused rocks and soil to flow into two households in Don Boong and Na Loi villages, of which one house was damaged by 50%. The commune People's Committee organized an emergency evacuation of one household with four members. Huoi Xan Kindergarten was also affected, with about 50m3 of rocks and soil sliding behind the school./.
