Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council of Nghe An province gives Tet gifts to poor households in Ky Son

On the afternoon of January 9, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Nghe An province, led by Ms. Que Thi Tram Ngoc - Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee, visited and presented Tet gifts to officials, people and Border Guards in Na Loi commune, Ky Son district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Na Loi commune is located in the northwest of Ky Son district, 47 km from the district center and is a particularly difficult commune. The commune has complex terrain, with 869m of border adjacent to Laos. People here mainly live on livestock farming and seasonal work, so people in the commune still lack sustainable livelihoods to stabilize their lives. The total number of poor households in the commune is still high, accounting for over 65%, near-poor households account for 14.86%.

In order to share difficulties with local people, at the program, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council presented Tet gifts to 40 poor households and those in difficult circumstances in the commune; each gift included 1 million VND in cash and in kind; and 5 gifts were presented to students sponsored by the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council.

On behalf of the delegation of the Office of the National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council of Nghe An province, Ms. Que Thi Tram Ngoc said that the above gifts are the heart of the delegations of the Office of the National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council of Nghe An province to support and share difficulties with poor households in the commune, hoping that the people will have a happy and warm Tet At Ty. In the coming time, the delegation of the Office of the National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council of Nghe An province hopes to continue to have many programs and projects to come to poor communes and poor households to create sustainable livelihoods for the people; at the same time, hoping that the people will try to grasp and implement well the policies and resolutions of the locality to strive to stabilize their lives.

Next, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Na Loi Border Guard Station. It is known that in recent years, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard have overcome difficulties, implemented synchronous and effective working measures, maintained political security, social order and safety, and prevented crimes, protected and ensured the safety of the national border; contributed to maintaining the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos; did a good job of propaganda and mobilization, regularly cared for and looked after the material and spiritual life of people in border areas./.
