Nghe An soldiers take care of health of people in flood areas

On the afternoon of August 18, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command said that the unit had just sent medical personnel to several highland localities that were submerged in floodwaters.

In the immediate future, the mobilized forces have organized medical examinations, treatment, free medicine provision, and primary health care for people in Bong Khe commune. This is one of the most severely affected areas in Con Cuong district.

Immediately after arriving at the site, the military medical team provided medical examinations, treatment, and disease prevention advice to over 200 local residents and rescue forces. They also provided free medicine worth over 20 million VND.

Along with organizing centralized medical examination and treatment, the military medical force also organized teams to visit people's homes to advise on personal hygiene measures, environmental hygiene, ensuring food safety and surveying the environmental situation. This is the basis for advising the Provincial Military Command and local medical forces to promptly organize spraying of anti-epidemic drugs, ensuring that no epidemics occur after the flood.

In addition, the Con Cuong District Military Command mobilized 100% of its troops to overcome the consequences and clean up houses for households that were severely flooded.
