The General Staff visited and worked at Military Region 4
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 23, Major General Ngo Minh Tien - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and his delegation visited and worked at the Military Region 4 Command; working with the delegation were Major General Tran Vo Dung - Political Commissar of the Military Region; Major General Dang Trong Quan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Military Region.
At the working session, the delegation listened to comrades in the Military Region Command report on the results achieved by the Military Region's armed forces in performing military and defense tasks in the first 7 months of 2018.

Notably, the Military Region Command has focused on leading and directing agencies and units to thoroughly grasp and strictly maintain combat readiness, search and rescue, closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to grasp the local situation; synchronously, in-depth, and comprehensively deploy all aspects of work; successfully complete the set military and defense goals and targets. Organized one-sided Command - Staff exercises at two levels on the Military Region map, Quang Tri province defense area exercises and other exercises; organized the Competition of Commanders and Political Commissars of District-level Military Commands with good results and safety; over 15,000 officers, soldiers, militia and self-defense forces participated in forest fire prevention, flood and storm prevention, rescue and rescue in the area, successfully completing their tasks...
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff highly appreciated the results achieved by the Military Region 4's armed forces in the first 7 months of 2018; at the same time, he also noted a number of contents that the Military Region's armed forces need to carry out in the coming time regarding training and exercises; education and fostering of national defense and security knowledge for the subjects; Party building work and logistics and technical support for the missions.
