Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra presents gifts to war invalids, sick soldiers and meritorious people in Nam Dan district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22, a delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs led by Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Minister of Home Affairs visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs in Thuong Tan Loc commune (Nam Dan).

Also in the delegation were: Vu Chien Thang - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Vu Dang Minh - Chief of Office, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Phung Thi Hai Yen - Deputy General Director of the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam.
On the provincial leadership side, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Viet Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

Before meeting with war invalids, sick soldiers, meritorious people and families of policy beneficiaries, comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra and delegates came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Memorial House honoring the heroic martyrs of Thuong Tan Loc commune.
During the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland and perform international duties, Nam Dan district had 14,913 people who contributed to the revolution. Currently, in Nam Dan district, there are 6 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers still alive, 5,562 people with merit are receiving benefits, Thuong Tan Loc commune alone has 366 people, including 1 Vietnamese Heroic Mother, 85 wounded soldiers, 32 sick soldiers, 40 people infected with toxic chemicals, 24 relatives of martyrs and 184 people providing martyr worship benefits.

Speaking at the meeting and gift-giving ceremony, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her joy at the innovation achievements of Thuong Tan Loc commune today. She respectfully expressed her deep gratitude to the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions in the commune.
The Minister hopes that people with meritorious services and families with preferential policies in the commune will continue to promote the spirit of self-reliance, take the lead in implementing the policies of the Party and the State, and be a shining example for everyone to learn and follow; hopes that the Party Committee and the people of the commune will continue to strive to achieve more achievements in socio-economic development, take care of families of war invalids, martyrs, people with meritorious services, and people in difficult circumstances, bringing the commune to advanced new rural standards, worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations.


On this occasion, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented 366 gifts, each worth 1.3 million VND, and presented Thuong Tan Loc commune with a welfare project worth 500 million VND. The Minister also presented souvenirs to Nam Dan district and Thuong Tan Loc commune.
