Ministry of Information and Communications works with VTV on press planning

On the afternoon of December 10, the Ministry of Information and Communications had a working session with Vietnam Television (VTV) on the project of Planning for Development and Management of the National Press until 2025.

VTV leaders have reported to the Ministry of Information and Communications on the project to organize and arrange the national television channel system of the Station until 2020, ensuring compliance with the orientation of the Planning project. VTV leaders requested the Ministry of Information and Communications and related ministries and branches to pay attention and create conditions for the Station to develop in accordance with the orientation.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan highly appreciated VTV's proactive spirit and quick progress in developing the project.

This is a proactive step to implement the spirit of the Planning project. Accordingly, the project to organize and arrange VTV channels has met the needs of developing television in a modern direction, keeping up with the current world trend, properly implementing the Press Planning, strengthening the role of orientation and direction of the national station, building backup channels, arranging without causing disruption, greatly affecting cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, not letting workers lose their jobs...

Also at the working session, VTV's recommendations and proposals on the plan to organize and arrange the national television channel system by 2020 were agreed in principle by the Ministry of Information and Communications, but must be considered and weighed according to the roadmap.

VTV leaders are responsible for the content of this arrangement, ensuring implementation in accordance with the spirit of the National Press Planning Project until 2025.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan also noted that VTV, in the process of arranging the channel system, needs to take advantage of resources, avoid waste, control content and programs well before broadcasting using new technology, and ensure safety and security when broadcasting...
