Ministry of Culture speaks out about Ly Nha Ky's photos in Cannes
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just spoken out about the incident in which Ly Nha Ky's image appeared on a billboard promoting Vietnamese tourism at the Cannes Film Festival (France).
The Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said: The Ministry is checking the information about the image of Ly Nha Ky on the billboard promoting Vietnam at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, the Department of Cinema only received a mockup from LYNK Construction Trade Investment Company proposing to promote Vietnamese cinema at the 70th Cannes Film Festival with an outdoor advertising billboard model.

On this billboard is written in English "Vietnam: The new destination of blockbusters". Mr. Binh confirmed that there is absolutely no image of Ly Nha Ky on this map.
Ly Nha Ky is one of the Vietnamese stars who regularly attends the Cannes Film Festival. At this year's Cannes event, the beauty attracted attention when she sponsored three advertising panels to introduce the image of Vietnam.
The location of the three billboards is introduced as a very solemn place, located right in front of the Majestic Barriere Hotel and opposite the Palais des Festivals castle, where the Cannes Film Festival and red carpet events for international stars, filmmakers, investors, directors... take place.
However, what has been causing public concern in recent days is the portrait of Ly Nha Ky and the words "The new voice of Vietnam" appearing on the billboard. The words "of Vietnam" were later removed by workers on the afternoon of May 17.
