VTV editor Quynh Hoa apologizes after controversial Facebook post
After causing controversy with her post about the storm on her personal page, BTV - MC Quynh Hoa of "Good Morning" apologized for causing these unnecessary misunderstandings.
On the morning of September 28, BTV Quynh Hoa caused controversy when she wrote on her personal page: "24 hours without sleep, a sleepless night. One hour of live news. It's been a long time since I've been able to welcome a real storm." Just a few minutes after the post, Quynh Hoa edited the words to be more appropriate. However, the incident was harshly criticized by the online community immediately after. There were also opinions defending Quynh Hoa, saying that the female BTV was just being unintentional and had no bad intentions. Quynh Hoa had to lock her Facebook because of the mixed comments.
A few minutes ago, on her personal page, BTV Quynh Hoa shared: "I would like to send my deepest apologies to everyone, to the audience, especially the audience in the Central region. From the bottom of my heart, I am very sorry for using inappropriate words when talking about the storm, bringing negative emotions to the audience and unintentionally having an inappropriate attitude towards the pain of the people in the Central region who are suffering many impacts and losses due to the storm."

The female editor-MC also explained that after 24 hours of working through the night, providing timely updates on the storm until it weakened as predicted, she just wanted to share a little joy after completing the work on her personal page. "However, in the excitement, I did not express my full meaning, causing a misunderstanding at an extremely sensitive time. I myself quickly realized and immediately edited the article to explain my meaning correctly.
Through this incident, I would like to draw profound lessons for myself. I also realize that my negligence has affected the efforts of Vietnam Television in bringing information about natural disasters to the people of Central Vietnam. I also apologize for affecting my colleagues who worked hard at the scene as well as the entire crew who stayed up all night to produce continuous storm news for the past day. I once again apologize, sincerely apologize to everyone for my shortcomings," Quynh Hoa shared.
