On August 18, Lap Vo District Police (Dong Thap) are temporarily detaining Chau Bich Phuong (47 years old); Duong Huu Loi (45 years old, Phuong's husband) and their son Duong Duc Tai (19 years old, all in Binh Loi Hamlet, Binh Thanh Commune, Lap Vo District).

According to the investigation agency, through reconnaissance work, on the afternoon of August 16, Lap Vo police force conducted an inspection and caught Phuong and his wife and son red-handed in the act of organizing the sale of lottery tickets.

Loi and his wife and the evidence were detained.

Searching the suspects' residence, the police seized hundreds of lottery tickets, nearly 450 million VND in cash and many exhibits related to lottery trading.

Through initial investigation, Duong Huu Loi admitted that he organized the lottery bidding, daily received and collected lottery tickets and calculated the winnings and losses with other henchmen.
