“Chàng vinh quy” is the MV with the biggest investment to date by Phạm Phương Thảo, recreating the ancient Mandarin’s return home ceremony while also telling a story of steadfast love. The MV has grand ancient costume scenes gathering hundreds of extras like a movie project. The MV’s name is also the name of a song composed by Phạm Phương Thảo.

What is special is that this is also an MV associated with many “first times”. Accordingly, this is the first MV that People’s Artist Khai Hung, a famous artist in cinema, has taken on a role in. This is also the first time Tien Loc, a young actor, has taken on a role in a music video.

Also at the launch, answering the question of why she chose the topic of Quan Trang's return as the theme for her song, Pham Phuong Thao said: The image of Trang Nguyen is a very unique image of Vietnamese culture, she has cherished the idea of ​​writing about this topic, this is also a way for young people to look back at the past, however, her intention has not had the opportunity to be realized.

It was not until she witnessed a guy returning to his hometown after being successful in his job, welcoming him with joy and admiration from the neighbors, that was also the opportunity and inspiration for her to write this song.

Revealing the cost of making the MV, Pham Phuong Thao admitted that she had invested a bit too much and it was not in her plan. However, the singer from Nghe An also affirmed: "My efforts, finances, intelligence, and enthusiasm for "Chang Vinh Quy" have been recognized by everyone, that is a great profit."

Sharing about the memories of making this MV, Pham Phuong Thao said that she was asked by director Khai Hung to find 4 nephews and cut her hair into peaches to appear in the MV. However, the time of filming coincided with the primary school exam.

Filming is tomorrow but this afternoon, suitable children have not been found, there is an opinion to accept to skip the scenes with the children. However, at that time, singer Pham Phuong Thao called her mother to ask her to help her find 6 nephews who agreed to shave their hair to act in the MV. "Exactly 5 minutes later, my mother called back and said the whole village asked to go act for me. Do you have enough vehicles to take the children out?", singer Pham Phuong Thao said.

Her voice suddenly choked up, she said through tears: "I will return to that village, that homeland, but I never thought that one day when I needed something very important, the village and everyone would be there."

Singer Pham Phuong Thao was born in 1982 in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. She graduated from the Military College of Culture and Arts in 2002. In 2003, she won 3rd prize in Sao Mai Television Singing Contest and the award for “Most Favorite Singer” voted by the audience.

In 2014, on the occasion of March 8, singer Pham Phuong Thao released the album “Love in the song”. With this album, she once again introduced the song she composed “Gai Nghe”. Previously, Phuong Thao released the CD album “Gai Nghe”, many songs composed by Pham Phuong Thao such as Gai Nghe, Cho em thoi chong chan… were chosen by many young singers to sing in singing competitions.
