Hundreds of officials were dismissed for violating budget spending.
In 2014 and 2015 alone, more than 60 people were forced to quit their jobs and more than 100 people were dismissed.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just reported on the results of implementing the National Assembly's Resolution on handling organizations and individuals who violated the law in budget management and operation for the two years 2014-2015 and 2016 according to the provisions of Directive No. 33/2008/CT-TTg dated November 20, 2008 of the Prime Minister on strictly implementing fiscal policies and implementing the conclusions of auditing and inspection agencies.

The conclusion of the Inspectorate and Audit for the inspected and audited organizations is to recover the amount of money that must be paid to the budget due to incorrect spending. The disciplinary action for the organizations is to strictly review the collective that violates the principles, some organizations are transferred to the investigation agency to clarify the case.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that according to reports from 45/46 ministries, branches, central agencies and 59/63 localities, in 2014, 640 organizations were inspected and audited. Of these, 545 organizations have been handled according to conclusions, 64 organizations are being handled, and 31 organizations have not been handled.
For individuals, 1,075 people were proposed to be disciplined, of which 1,016 people have been disciplined, accounting for 94.5%; 53 people are being disciplined, and 6 people have not been disciplined.
Of these, 47 were forced to resign, 71 were dismissed, 7 were demoted, 12 were imprisoned, 11 were transferred to the investigation agency, and 11 were expelled from the Party. The rest were disciplined in the form of warnings, reprimands, and strict criticism.
In 2015, the Ministry of Home Affairs compiled reports from 44/46 ministries, branches, central agencies and 63/63 localities, with 722 organizations inspected and audited. Of these, 631 organizations have been handled according to conclusions, 59 organizations are being handled and 32 organizations have not been handled. For individuals, 1,126 people were proposed to be handled, of which 1,061 people have been handled, accounting for 94.23%; 45 people are being handled, 20 people have not been handled.
Of those handled in 2015, 14 people were forced to quit, 30 were dismissed, 4 were demoted, 104 were warned, 149 were reprimanded, and 24 were transferred to the investigation agency and criminally prosecuted. The rest were handled in the form of strict criticism.
In 2016, the Ministry of Home Affairs received reports from only 7/46 ministries, branches, central agencies and 25/63 localities. Accordingly, 368 organizations were inspected and audited. Of these, 314 organizations have been handled according to the conclusions, 42 organizations are being handled, and 12 organizations have not been handled. Regarding individuals, 428 people were proposed to be handled. Of these, 392 people have been handled, accounting for 91.59%; 13 people are being handled, and 23 people have not been handled.
Also according to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the number of individuals who have not been processed are waiting for the decision of the organization to process, transferred to the investigation agency for prosecution, temporarily detained by the police, or are pregnant or raising children under 36 months old.
Regarding the 2016 report data, the Ministry of Home Affairs is urging ministries, branches, central and local agencies to promptly send reports to complete the summary data and report to the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Home Affairs recommends that the Prime Minister direct ministries, branches, and central agencies to assign their departments to do the work of organizing cadres; in provinces and centrally run cities, it is recommended that the Department of Home Affairs strictly implement the synthesis and reporting of disciplinary results for organizations and individuals with violations.
In addition, the Ministry also recommends that the implementation of Directive 33/2008/CT-TTg report should consider including criteria for assessing the level of task completion for organizations and individuals at ministries, branches, central and local agencies./.
