Localities and units launched a campaign to support people in Ky Son district to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

* On the afternoon of October 3, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City divided into 3 working groups to visit, encourage, and give gifts to 56 households affected by floods and accidents due to floods.

The delegation led by Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee visited and presented gifts to flooded households in Vinh Tan, Cua Nam and Hong Son wards.

Along with that, 2 other working groups visited and gave gifts to encourage families in Trung Do and Ben Thuy wards, Hung Dong commune and households in Hoa Lam hamlet, Hung Hoa commune, households living along the Duoc river in Hung Chinh commune; each gift was worth 500,000 VND to 5 million VND. The working group also burned incense to pay respect to Vu Duc Hoang in hamlet 4, Hung Chinh commune who drowned.

City leaders sent words of encouragement, shared the difficulties of people affected by floods, grasped the actual situation in wards and communes and directed local authorities to step up propaganda work, regularly provide information so that people can proactively prevent floods, avoid damage to people and property.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leaders and all officials and civil servants of Nghia Dan District Party Committee directly supported with a minimum amount of one day's salary each, contributing to helping Ky Son people affected by flash floods.
