During the wars of national defense, Thai Hoa town had 700 outstanding sons who died for the national independence. In military units,The town leaders sent their congratulations and wished that the cadres, soldiers, and armed forces of the units stationed in the area would continue to promote the achievements and traditions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, build a regular, elite, and gradually modern armed force, successfully carry out tasks to contribute to socio-economic development, maintain national defense and security, and contribute together with the Party Committee, government, and people of Thai Hoa to build the town into an increasingly civilized, prosperous, and beautiful city of type III.

* Pursuant to Decision No. 02-QD/BCH dated August 28, 2018 of the Provincial Military Command on donating gratitude houses, on the afternoon of December 18, the Provincial Military CommandQue Phong districtorganized the handover ceremony of a house of gratitude to the relative of a martyr, Ms. Ngan Thi Vien, in Ban Coi, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district. Attending the ceremony were district leaders, representatives of district-level departments and agencies, and many local people.

At the ceremony, the District Military Command presented Mrs. Ngan Thi Vien's family with a bed set, mattress and gifts from the Provincial Military Command, totaling 4 million VND. In addition, local authorities and departments also presented practical gifts to Mrs. Vien's family.

* December 18,Nghia Dan District Military CommandCoordinated with 1/5 High School and Nghia Dan Town Middle School to organize traditional talks for nearly 2,000 teachers and students of the two schools.

* Afternoon of December 18,at Quy Hop Town Secondary School,The Propaganda Department, the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Department of Education and Training, and the Quy Hop District Youth Union coordinated with the District Association of Revolutionary Soldiers imprisoned by the enemy to organize a traditional talk to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

During the two resistance wars against France and the US to save the country, Quy Hop district had more than 10,000 young people leave to fight to regain independence and freedom for the Fatherland, including 642 officers and soldiers who sacrificed on the battlefields and 982 people who were wounded and sick soldiers.

*December 18, at cLach Con fishing village, Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town,The Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Military Command of Hoang Mai town, Hoang Mai town Youth Union, Military Command of Nghia Dan district, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted Youth Union, Huynh Thuc Khang High School Youth Union to organize a ceremony to present the national flag and gifts to fishermen in Hoang Mai town.

At the ceremony, the Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command and coordinating units presented 2,000 new national flags to fishing boat owners in the town, presented 10 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND to 5 fishing households with preferential policies and 5 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well.

On this occasion, Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard also presented 2 gifts to 2 policy families and 30 life jackets and 30 life buoys to boat owners. The Town Fatherland Front Committee and the Hoang Mai Town Military Command presented 8 gifts to 8 militia soldiers in the area with difficult circumstances.
