(Baonghean.vn)- Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed on June 15 that countries imposing sanctions on Russia suffered more damage.

Speaking at the 15th online dialogue with the people, Mr. Putin emphasized that according to calculations, Moscow only lost about 50 - 52 billion USD due to economic sanctions, while the countries imposing sanctions suffered losses of about 100 billion USD.

According to Mr. Putin, the economic sanctions of the West have not had serious consequences for the Russian economy, on the contrary, many industries such as missile manufacturing, machine building, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and some other industries have recovered and developed strongly. The Russian leader emphasized that if the West lifts sanctions against Russia, Moscow is also ready to remove retaliatory measures.

The Russian leader said that the new US bill to impose additional sanctions against Moscow is proof of the country's struggle with its internal political situation.
