(Baonghean) - With the viewpoint of "Taking the patient as the center", the Examination Department (C1), Military Hospital 4 has always paid attention to reforming administrative procedures, shortening the steps in the medical examination and treatment process, actively donating money to support poor patients...; aiming at the satisfaction and safety of patients.

To facilitate patients to come for medical examination and treatment, the Party Committee Standing Committee and the Hospital Board of Directors have directly led and directed the Examination Department (C1) to carry out many synchronous and active solutions such as: Organizing appropriate forces, rearranging from examination rooms, toll collection rooms, drug dispensing rooms, paraclinical testing rooms, and completely one-way imaging diagnostic rooms; Arranging highly qualified doctors and nurses, and a team of enthusiastic guides to always be on duty, guiding patients and their families thoughtfully and promptly.
After the Party Committee was reorganized, the commander of the Examination Department proactively issued a specialized Resolution to develop an action program on that basis, organizing daily and weekly meetings to learn from experience in circulation, reception, and psychology of contact with patients and their families...

With the policy of "Welcoming patients warmly, caring for patients attentively, and giving patients thoughtful instructions when leaving", the Department's Party Cell has focused on leadership and improving the quality of medical examination, considering this the most important factor to attract patients, creating trust and prestige for the team of doctors in military uniforms.

In particular, the Examination Department always improves the examination and treatment process to ensure it is reasonable and convenient, such as adding more examination tables, adjusting human resources appropriately to meet the needs of examination and treatment during office hours and peak days; arranging a waiting area with enough chairs, fans... to serve patients and their families attentively. Along with that, the medical staff and doctors of the Examination Department start working 15 minutes earlier than the military's prescribed time to welcome and serve patients attentively.

Not only that, if in the past, when patients came to the hospital for examination and treatment, it took about 2 hours to complete the procedures to get the examination results, now it has been shortened to 45 minutes for the procedures depending on the patient's case. Currently, the total time for examination and return of results for an average patient is 1.5 hours, reducing the patient's waiting time by nearly 1 hour; simple examination and prescription, the time does not exceed 30 minutes.

To help patients better understand the benefits they enjoy when participating in medical examination and treatment, the Department also publicly discloses examination hours, examination procedures, priority subjects, department diagrams, suggestion boxes, hotlines, rights and obligations of patients and medical staff... for patients to easily observe. The staff of the examination department is young, dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly responsible for patients.

Patient Le Xuan Tam (Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province) said that before, every time I went to the hospital, I had to go very early and wait a long time for the results. But now, every time I go to the hospital, the nurse guides me to get a queue number; creating fairness, simple and quick procedures. Moreover, the style and service attitude of the staff have also changed a lot. The doctors and nurses are more gentle, friendly and dedicated, so I feel secure coming here for medical examination and treatment.

Along with administrative procedure reform, every quarter the Outpatient Department also allocates a small amount of money from individuals in the department to support the hospital's charity fund; to help a small part for poor patients being treated at the hospital. This is a meaningful work of the department in implementing the movement of studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh and the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers"./.
