Through observation, there are many heavy-duty vehicles with license plates from southern provinces, after passing Cua Hoi bridge, turning right, going down Binh Minh street, where vehicles of 10 tons or more are prohibited from operating. In the photo is the Cua Hoi roundabout at 10:00 a.m. on July 25, many heavy-duty trucks stopped when they saw the prohibition sign on Binh Minh street. Drivers have long gone through Cua Hoi bridge, following the coastal route to go North, or to Nam Cam Industrial Park, Cua Lo Port. Now that the coastal route is prohibited, they seem to be lost, having to stop to "seek help". Photo: Nhat Lan

According to the staff of the Urban Management Department of Cua Lo Town, since the Lunar New Year 2023, the coastal road through Cua Lo Town has been open. However, for nearly a month now, there have been prohibition signs placed at some locations. Urban Management Department of Cua Lo Town. Cua Lo learned that: After the route was opened, due to the large number of heavy vehicles circulating, some locations had subsidence problems that needed to be repaired. In addition, this route also had to complete some technical factors, such as marking lines... "This route has not been accepted for handover but has been opened. Because many large vehicles chose to go through Cua Hoi bridge to reduce costs and shorten the distance, when there was a prohibition sign, it caused some inconvenience to Cua Lo town as reported by the people. Even at night, because the road was banned and they did not know the other way, large vehicles took the wrong turn, going straight into Binh Minh street, running through the center, making the people very upset. They also filmed clips, took photos and posted them on social networks..." - an officer of the Cua Lo Urban Management Department shared. According to officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Team of Cua Lo Town Police, since the coastal road was placed with a prohibition sign, they have had to work 24/7 to handle large tonnage vehicles that have "gone astray". A traffic police officer said: "The coastal road has many intersections with national highways, provincial roads and inner-city roads. In the inner-city area, the town has placed prohibition signs, but on provincial and national roads, the placement of signs is still not really complete. Therefore, most of the means of transport "gone astray" onto Binh Minh tourist road, or into the inner-city area due to objective reasons, so we are forced to stay on duty regularly to guide them not to enter the prohibited road...". To resolve this situation, a leader of the Cua Lo Urban Management Department said that he had informed the responsible person of the Department of Transport. He said: "The Department of Transport said that around the end of July or the beginning of August, the prohibition signs on the coastal road will be removed. However, in response to people's feedback, the department will advise the leaders of the Town People's Committee to send a document to the Department of Transport, requesting the contractor to urgently complete the related work, and soon remove the prohibition signs so that the coastal road can be fully opened to traffic....".
