Committed to Responsible Business, Prudential Vietnam Wins Double Awards at Insurance Asia Awards 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - At the 8th Insurance Asia Awards Ceremony held on the evening of July 27, at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Center - Singapore, Prudential Vietnam was honored with two awards: "International Life Insurance Company of the Year" and "ESG Initiative of the Year".
This is the fifth consecutive year that Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited (Prudential) has been recognized as“International Life Insurer of the Year”and received the award for the second consecutive year.“ESG Initiative of the Year”- Award for practical projects that directly contribute to solving social problems and sustainable development.
This series of victories continues to affirm Prudential's commitment to responsible business in the Vietnamese market and demonstrates its tireless efforts in creating positive changes for the community.
Insurance Asia Awards is an annual award organized by Charlton Media Group. The award honors insurance companies in Asia with outstanding achievements, new and creative business initiatives, bringing sustainable value to customers and contributing to the overall development of the insurance market.
This year's Insurance Asia Awards has more than 30 award categories for life insurance and non-life insurance companies from Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Qatar, Iran, Pakistan... The Jury for this year's award categories are all financial management positions from Big 4 companies - Top 4 largest auditing companies in the world (Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG).
2023 marks the 175th anniversary of Prudential's global operations and 24th year in the Vietnamese market. The award "International Life Insurance Company of the Year" is the recognition of the market, of the industry at the Asian regional level, as well as affirming Prudential's position as a model enterprise in the life insurance industry in Vietnam.
In 2023, Prudential will carry out many important activities to enhance customer experience in a timely manner, with the goal of opening a new chapter towards sustainable development. In June 2023, Prudential launched a new 2023 life insurance contract set with only 8 pages, made of environmentally friendly materials and summarizing important terms in the original contract in an easier-to-understand and easier-to-read manner for users. In addition, Prudential Vietnam continues to promote product diversification to help different customer groups have easier access to financial and health protection solutions with reasonable insurance premiums and monthly subscription options. With its outstanding advantages, Prudential's products are continuously trusted, welcomed and highly appreciated by customers: Prudential's joint insurance product "PRU-Active Life" was recognized and awarded the "Top 100 best products and services for families and children" in 2023 by the Labor and Social Newspaper.
An indispensable factor in the journey to bring great experiences to customers is the team of excellent consultants who are flexible in using technology applications, constantly developing skills and dedicated to connecting with customers. According to statistics from the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Association* in June 2023, Prudential Vietnam currently holds the Top 6 position globally and Top 1 in the Vietnamese market in terms of the number of MDRTs with 1,976 members. At the same time, Prudential also holds the Top 1 position in the number of MDRT growth and Top 1 in the number of MDRTs repeated each year in Vietnam.

With the award“ESG Initiative of the Year”, Prudential once again demonstrates its pioneering position in innovation and quickly catches up with the global ESG trend with long-term projects that help solve social problems, typically Prudential's contributions to the Fair Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).
In July in Hanoi, with the support of the British Business Group in Vietnam (BritCham), Prudential Vietnam and the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) jointly organized the workshop “Green Bonds & Transformational Investing in Vietnam”, to collect feedback on how to support the growth and development of the green bond market in Vietnam.
The guests attending the workshop had an effective exchange session, with many ideas and solutions presented to promote the development of the green bond market, clearly demonstrating the desire to cooperate with the Vietnamese Government in developing the green bond market in a sustainable manner, in order to support the Government's goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
