Nghe An Waterway and Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company operates in the field of traffic management and construction. During the period 2011-2016, the State maintained a capital contribution ratio of 65% in the enterprise; the remaining 35% of shares are mainly employees.

The unit mainly operates in the field of maintenance of road and waterway traffic works. In recent times, the company has made efforts to find jobs and ensure stable income for employees. In 2016, the average income was 5.7 million VND/person/month.

However, in 2017, the company was among the enterprises that divested all state capital in the enterprise, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.

Director of Nghe An Waterway and Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company Pham Ngoc Bau said: The biggest difficulty of the company is debt collection for construction projects funded by the budget. Up to now, the company has not recovered the debt of 7.7 VND, some projects have been in arrears since 1999.

Along with that, the difficulty of the unit after divesting State capital is to solve jobs for 122 workers left by the previous apparatus. Mr. Bau suggested that when implementing divestment, the State should have preferential policies for the company's workers.
