On March 19, Sa Dec City Police, Dong Thap Province, temporarily detained Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa (18 years old, residing in Ward 3, Sa Dec City) to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury leading to death.

According to the initial investigation, at around 5:00 p.m. on March 18, Mr. Tran Van Truc (51 years old, residing in Ward 3, Sa Dec City) had an argument with his wife, Dinh Thi Ut, after coming home from drinking. At that time, Mr. Truc's biological daughter, Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa, was cooking behind the house. Hearing her parents arguing, Hoa came out to stop them.

While trying to stop the fight with her biological father, Hoa stabbed Mr. Truc with a knife. Mr. Truc was taken to the emergency room by his family and nearby residents, but died due to severe injuries.

Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene to examine the crime scene and detained Hoa for further investigation and handling.
