Need to focus on propaganda about elections of National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 25, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a regular reporter conference for April 2016. Attending the conference were comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and a team of reporters from the whole province.

Overview of the conference.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department deployed the content of the election of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term; the results of some 11th sessions of the 13th National Assembly; updated the socio-economic situation in April of the province and the whole country; some new developments on the situation in the East Sea; on the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba; and updated the situation on the Korean peninsula.

Regarding the 11th session of the 13th National Assembly, the representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department assessed that this was the last session but had important content. In particular, the National Assembly continued to pass 7 draft laws and resolutions such as the Law on Access to Information; Law on Signing, Joining and Implementing International Treaties (amended); Law on Press (amended); Law on Protection, Care and Education of Children (amended); Law on Pharmacy (amended); Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Value Added Tax, Law on Special Consumption Tax and Law on Tax Administration; and Law on Export Tax and Import Tax (amended); decided on a number of important issues of the country, discussed the direction and tasks of socio-economic development in the next 5 years; perfected a number of senior positions of Party and State leaders...

Comrade Pham Van Son - Head of the Propaganda and Education Information Department, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Department informed about the situation in China.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in May, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested that reporters focus on propagating the contents that have been deployed in the conference to achieve high efficiency, such as propagating the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016 - 2021 term, preliminary results after the 3rd round of consultation, focusing on promoting extensive and active propaganda, mobilizing people's awareness, responsibility to vote, information on the criteria for delegates, on campaign activities, contacting voters... In addition, focus on propagating the 41st anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2016); continue to propagate the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also noted some contents on propaganda work for reporters, that is, press agencies and reporters need to be careful, considerate, and objective in propagating some hot, sensitive issues that the public is interested in (food safety and hygiene, drought, climate change...) at a harmonious and appropriate level, not sensational headlines to attract views and likes, but need to propagate constructively and with high orientation.
