This website has a name quite similar to the official website of ViettelPay application, so people will easily mistake this for the official website and log in to their account. Once they have the information, the subjects will control the customer's account and perform actions such as: transferring money, withdrawing money, registering for online loans...
Hanoi City Police advise people to be vigilant against the above tricks.
When receiving suspicious and unclear information, people can call directly to the customer care hotline of companies and businesses to check the information. Report fake websites to the authorities for timely handling.
People also need to regularly change their Internet banking and Smartbanking account login passwords and take measures to manage the security of this information.
