Beware of emails used by foreign criminals to commit fraud in Vietnam

To avoid being scammed, people should avoid contacting emails that send messages about winning prizes, giving gifts, calling for investment...

Recently, many people have been scammed by individuals claiming to be foreigners, who have appropriated hundreds of millions of dong in assets by sending emails to individuals claiming to have a large sum of money to invest in Vietnam and need help; the individuals are promised that if they are helped, they will receive a certain amount of money.

After the recipient of the letter exchanges information with the subject, during the process of transferring and receiving money (not real), the criminal group creates many different reasons asking the victim to transfer them the corresponding service fees (through the personal account provided by them).

To avoid being scammed, people should avoid contacting emails that send messages with the following or similar content:

I am Mahmud from Syria. I am in London at the moment as a political refugee due to the recent problems in my country. I have a large sum of money (Two Million $2,000,000 USD) with a security company in Asia.
