Police disguised as medical staff arrest fugitive
To successfully capture Vinh, plainclothes detectives joined the medical team spraying insecticide to easily access the house.
Tran Duc Vinh (42 years old) and his father were accused by the Thang Binh District Police (Quang Nam) of participating in illegal drug trafficking. In mid-December 2010, when his father was arrested, Vinh fled the area.
In early March, searching for Vinh under a wanted notice, authorities discovered that he had fled to the South but had not stayed in one place for more than five days. The police ambushed him twice, but Vinh "disappeared" both times.

At the end of June, the detectives received information that Vinh was at his girlfriend's house in Hiep Thanh ward (Nga Bay town, Hau Giang). They determined that the house had only one road, surrounded by a vast river while the killer was in the house.The wanted man was very cunning, the police chose a special approach.
Joining the local mosquito spraying team, the plainclothes detectives entered Vinh's girlfriend's house and set up a blockade outside. Seeing Vinh alone in the room, the detectives stood up and asked:.Hearing the Quang Nam accent, Vinh took the initiative to come out and said, "You guys don't need to say anything more, I know, I'm Tran Duc Vinh."
