Providing 37 tons of rice to the poor in Que Phong border
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the policy of supporting rice for poor households near the border during the lean season, on the morning of January 18, Que Phong district distributed over 37 tons of rice to people in the beneficiary area.
Accordingly, 481 poor households in 4 communes bordering the border will be provided with 15kg of rice per person per month. Of which, Tri Le commune will be provided the most with 19,875kg, Hanh Dich 4,710kg, Nam Giai 7,005kg and Thong Thu 6,030kg. With the price of 16,000 VND/kg (including transportation fee to the commune center), the total amount of money taken from the 30a budget is over 600 million VND.

Que Phong is a border commune with over 73km of border area adjacent to Laos. The lives of people here still face many difficulties and shortages.
In recent years, the Party and the State have invested in building infrastructure, roads, schools, stations, etc., along with many support policies for people in border areas to develop their economies. This has partly limited illegal migration, contributing to maintaining security and order in border areas.
