Fireworks trading couple abandon motorbike to escape police

(Baonghean.vn)- Using a motorbike to transport fireworks to sell but were discovered by the police, Thuan and Linh abandoned the motorbike and ran away to escape.

Yen Thanh District Police are expanding the investigation to clarify the illegal transportation and trading of fireworks against Truong Van Thuan (born in 1991), residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District and Nguyen Van Linh (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 8, Tien Thanh Commune.

Previously, on December 5, 2015, while patrolling and controlling the area on Provincial Road 534, the Yen Thanh District police task force discovered a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 37N2 - 1040, carrying a suspicious sack on the motorbike.

Upon inspection, suspect Truong Van Thuan stated that the goods in the sack were 20 fireworks (over 37kg), which he had just bought (from a strange man), and was on his way to find a buyer when he was arrested.

On the same afternoon, another working group of Yen Thanh District Police was patrolling Duc Thanh Commune when they discovered a young man driving a motorbike carrying a cardboard box. When they stopped the vehicle for inspection, the subject abandoned the vehicle and goods and ran away. Checking the evidence at the scene, the working group discovered that inside the cardboard box were 11 boxes of foreign-made fireworks, weighing 18kg.

Knowing that he could not escape, that same evening, Nguyen Van Linh (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 8, Tien Thanh Commune, surrendered to the District Police and admitted that all the goods and motorbikes left at the scene were his.
