Update on units and localities donating and supporting people in the Central region

Working group ofNghe An Provincial PoliceThe delegation led by Major General Vo Trong Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department went to Ha Tinh province to provide financial support to the locality that suffered heavy damage due to recent floods.

In this locality, Major General Vo Trong Hai, on behalf of the working delegation, presented 500 million VND to the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, 200 million VND to the officers and soldiers of Ha Tinh provincial police, and 100 million VND to the people of the severely flooded block in Ha Tinh city, promptly encouraging their spirit and helping people overcome difficulties.

During this flood, side by side with the people, Nghe An Police force has been reinforced for Ha Tinh province to stay in the flood area to protect property and bring people to safety. Up to now, the reinforced police force is still staying in the flood area to help people overcome the damage caused by the flood.

Also today, the police delegation of Nghe An Provincial Police led by Colonel Ho Van Tu - Deputy Director went to Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces to present support to local police, each unit 200 million VND; Huong Hoa District Police (Quang Tri): 50 million VND; Visited and presented to the family of Captain Truong Van Thang - police officer of Huong Viet commune, Huong Hoa district (Quang Tri) who died while preventing and fighting storms and floods: 50 million VND.

Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An provinceorganized a launching ceremony to call on cadres, workers, civil servants and employees of the industry including: Department Office and 10 affiliated units, to donate 1 day's salary each to support the people of Central Vietnam, to share the loss and grief with the families of martyrs from Nghe An who died while on duty in the two provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri.

On the same afternoon, the working delegation led by comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department directly presented 50 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to support the people of the Central region to overcome natural disasters.

As of the morning of October 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front CommitteeAnh Son districtreceived support for the people of Central Vietnam from agencies, units, localities, social organizations and individuals with an amount of nearly 400 million VND.

ToanQuynh Luu districthas donated and supported a total value of over 510 million VND, including money and goods (as of October 21). Currently, departments, branches, organizations, and localities are also actively mobilizing and supporting to have more meaningful gifts sent to the Central region.

Mr. Tran Minh Chinh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district said:“The Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district has issued a letter calling on all cadres, party members, armed forces, and people of all walks of life to join hands to support people affected by floods in the Central region. Currently, people are always actively implementing the letter by cooking banh chung, donating instant noodles, clothes, medicine, and cash. Thereby, sending it to the Fatherland Front of the district and the Fatherland Front of the province to join hands to help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Nghia Dan Townhas donated 90 million VND in cash and necessities, clothes, medicine... totaling about 300 million VND. The above amount will be sent to the people of the Central provinces in the coming time.

Military Hospital 4and officers, employees, and soldiers launched a campaign to support people affected by floods in the Central provinces. After launching, nearly 52 million VND was raised to share the difficulties and losses with the people of the Central region. This amount will be handed over to the people by Military Hospital 4.
