Emergency response to fire at 2-storey house in Nghe An

At 8:45 p.m. on March 15, people in Hong Thai hamlet, Nam Thai commune discovered a fire breaking out in the 2-story house of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan next to National Highway 15. At that time, the front door of the house was locked, the fire inside the house was burning fiercely, and smoke was billowing out.

Immediately after discovering the fire, local people in Nam Thai and Nam Nghia communes quickly used pliers to cut the lock, break the door, and pull water hoses into the house to put out the fire. Because the house contained many brooms, the fire spread quickly, making it difficult to put out the fire.

A moment later, upon receiving the news, CC&CNCH Team No. 7 mobilized 2 fire trucks and 16 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene to put out the fire.

Thanks to the coordination of the authorities, the fire in the ground floor house was brought under control at around 9:30 p.m. By 10 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.

The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical short circuit. It is known that the two-story house has not been lived in by Nguyen Dinh Tuan’s family for a long time, but has been rented to a woman named Lan from Do Luong district to use as a broom storage facility. No one was in the house at the time of the fire.

The fire caused severe damage to the first floor of the house.
