Landslide on residential bridge 'threatens' pedestrians
(Baonghean.vn) - After the recent monsoon with heavy rain, Khe Loa bridge in Binh Son commune (Anh Son) was severely eroded, affecting traffic in the area.
On the morning of February 23, local people discovered that Khe Loa bridge across Khe Loa connecting Tan Cat and Tan Binh villages, Binh Son commune, had been destroyed.landslidesheavy. The bridge abutment on the Tan Cat village side collapsed about 4 meters, an estimated 10 cubic meters of rock and soil slid into the canal (nearly half of the roadway collapsed), trucks of all kinds could not pass.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the authorities of Binh Son commune went to the scene to inspect and put up warning ropes for people and vehicles passing on this route.
It is known that Khe Loa bridge is 20 m long, built and put into use in 2001, located on the main road of Binh Son commune and is the only road connecting Dinh Son commune (Anh Son) with Tan Ky district. Every day, the number of people and vehicles passing on the bridge is large, especially cars and trucks.

After more than 20 years of use, Khe Loa Bridge has seriously degraded. 4 months ago, cracks appeared at the location of the landslide, the commune mobilized forces to reinforce and repair. During this monsoon season with heavy rain, the bridge pier has completely collapsed.
The landslide of Khe Loa Bridge has greatly affected traffic in the area, "threatening" people and vehicles on the road. Local people jokingly said: "It is called Khe Loa, but everyone passing here must have their eyes bright or they will fall into the ravine."
