The student continuously 'won' Gold Medals in Mathematics in Nghe An

3 Gold Medals at the TITANTMO VII Math Olympiad; the Young Math Talent Search Competition in Hanoi and the Singapore and Asia International Math Competition - SASMO 2019 are the outstanding achievements of Nguyen Trong Quang - a 5th grade student at Hoa Hieu II Primary School, Thai Hoa Town in the 2018 - 2019 school year. In Thai Hoa Town, for many years, Quang has been known as the "Math prodigy boy".

In the small house, Quang said that the secret to his good study is the knowledge he learns in class, not from any extra classes. Therefore, he always concentrates highly in every study hour. There are days when the recess bell rings but because he has not found the solution to a problem, Quang still sits in the study corner to find out. In class, it is like that, when he comes home, his study hours are also clearly planned with the support of his parents.

"When I was 3 years old, I liked numbers in Mathematics. As I grew older, I liked to explore new things in numbers. That's why now I have simpler methods to solve Math problems and absorb all the knowledge I have learned faster," Quang said, adding that his dream in the future is to study abroad in Singapore and become a researcher in Mathematics.

Not stopping at the Gold Medals in Mathematics, in the 2018-2019 school year, Quang also won the Third Prize in IOE; the Encouragement Prize in the Provincial Youth Informatics Competition; the First Prize in the Primary School Subjects Olympic Competition organized by the Town Department of Education and Training. For him, each subject brings its own interesting and useful things. Therefore, he always wants to try his best in every field.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Quang's homeroom teacher said that he is a student with outstanding learning ability, not only in Math but also in all subjects. "As a homeroom teacher, I have to find many advanced math problems to help him and solve them with him. His outstanding point is his ability to discover and complete difficult math problems excellently," Ms. Nhung emphasized.
