Nghe An players play football to raise funds for charity

(Baonghean.vn) - During the mid-season break, some players gathered with the Vietnam National Team to prepare for the AFF Cup 2016. Meanwhile, the remaining Nghe An players also found each other in charity football matches.

This coming Sunday (October 16), at Hop Thanh Commune Stadium - Yen Thanh, players and former players from Nghe An such as: Phan Nhu Thuat, Nguyen Lam Tan, Nguyen Quang Tinh, Vo Ngoc Toan, Vo Ngoc Duc, Ho Phuc Tinh, Que Ngoc Manh... will play together in the Quang Tinh Sport team's jersey to compete in a charity fundraiser with the Yen Thanh Star team. The home team consists of young faces of Nghe An football such as Pham Xuan Manh, Phan Van Duc, Hoang Vu Dat, Duong Van Cuong, Dinh Thang, Van Thanh, Bui Van Phuc, Trong Phu...

Former SLNA captain and midfielder Nguyen Quang Tinh will face off against junior players at SLNA such as Xuan Manh and Van Duc in a charity match at 3:00 p.m. on October 16 in Yen Thanh.

The match was jointly organized by businesses, charity clubs in Nghe An and the People's Committee of Hop Thanh commune and Yen Thanh district. The match gathered many famous players, however, with the aim of helping the disadvantaged, poor students in Yen Thanh rice fields, serving the audience, the Organizing Committee decided not to sell tickets and open the door freely. Instead, at the charity box, participating teams and audiences can voluntarily support the fund.

After arriving in Yen Thanh, the next journey of the above Nghe An players is expected to be Dien Chau district.
